The Event - 22nd March 2016 This event is an exciting, ground-breaking initiative for the Isle of Man: One which offers organisations in the private, public and third sectors the opportunity to be involved in enhancing the profile of the Island on a global stage. The main objective of the IDC is to educate, promote and raise awareness of the vital importance of embracing diversity in the workplace. By this, we mean equal respect for and recognition of people from all diversity strands, whether ethnic, gender, sexual orientation, religious and cultural backgrounds and for those with disabilities. To practice policies of social inclusion and good citizenship is now understood by many organisations to be a legislative requirement. However, it not only makes moral and ethical sense for businesses to be representative of the communities they serve, it also leads to a competitive advantage. The Isle of Man is an international business centre with a global clientele.
