Founded in 2013 the company's manufacturing process is ISO 9001:2008 certified and comprises the full spectrum of optical component manufacture, from grinding and shaping to polishing and coating (both traditional e-beam coatings and sputtered coatings). Due to the modern production facility, Manx Precision Optics Ltd. ('MPO') is able to offer short delivery times and highly competitive prices even on small / specialist components. MPO holds a large stock of raw material and polished optics allowing for short delivery times even where components with specialist coatings are required. Some of the company's specific areas of expertise are in the manufacture of high Laser-induced damage threshold (LIDT) coatings, specifically for use in ultrafast lasers. The company's white light interferometers ensures that all components for ultrafast applications are delivered with a measured GDD (Group delay Dispersion) curve. Furthermore, MPO manufactures solid and air-spaced etalons and related components such as VIPA etalons. Where light needs to be polarised, MPO's optically contacted cube polarisers, even available in sizes of 2" (50.8mm), 3" (76.2mm) and larger, offer a competitive solution.
